Rachel Hylton
Mostly associated with being a known and favourited name on the X Factor in 2008, who went all the way to week 7 of the live finals of the competition. Her journey many felt was cut short due to the ways of the industry and conflicting opinions with her mentor, In week three, Simon Cowell described her rendition of ‘Feeling Good’ as ‘the best performance of the night.’ In week seven Hylton was in the bottom 2 with JLS. Despite drawing praise from the judges for her sing-off performance, she was voted out by a majority of the judges because they believed JLS would progress further in the competition.
Rachel had been offered a recording contract, but, like the other contestants, could not sign it until her contract with The X Factor expired
On May 4 2009, she appeared alongside US stars Mary Mary, CeCe Winans and Kirk Franklin at the Oraclez Gospel Festival at Wembley Arena Amongst various other live performance mainly in and around London.
Previous to joining T.R.U Rachel had been working on material with several producers since then and has released "sexy girl" as a single through "standard records) which is available on iTunes now.
Rachel has now finally found within T.R.U a production team (Titan Waves) and Management and promotion team run by Claire Davenport who she feels knows her voice and talent and can support and maximise her full potential as she has one of the most incredibly powerful and edgy soulful/jazz voices there is and is an all round spotless performer and entertainer..
Rachel is currently working on material and projects for other known artists including a feat on T.R.U's own Nature The Kidds forthcoming solo project Nature's Way as well as closely working with TitanWaves on her forthcoming solo project with them all being over seen by T.R.U
Rachel has a live set and is available now for bookings She works amazingly with big band backing on a large arena size stage as well as intimate acoustic sessions.
