Emerging from two artistic souls on a lover’s getaway in Ibiza, its natural that Rainer was born with a creative flare, those mystic energies to pierce the sound of his rhythm for years to come. The Barcelona bred started his interest in music through old school style; recording mixes to cassette tapes in the late 90s. He quickly built a passion for electronic music and started to amass a collection of superbly picked records. The influence of techno and house movements of that time would be the catalyst to his entry into the world of production.

Heavily inspired by Jazz, Rainer takes his mixes into deeper, soulful recesses of house glittered with jazz-like syncopation. His sets are hypnotic, jazzy-techno equipped to lift your mind to other destinations.

Spending his instrumental teenage years in the US, Rainer gravitated towards Chicago house & Detroit techno exploring the origins of electronic music. Raised in a time of forward thinking artists such as Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos & Richie Hawtin, Rainer found himself inspired to manipulate and test the borders of already pioneering sounds as can be seen in his productions to date.

Rainer’s seductive style gained him a place on the Half Baked residency in 2012. A staple part of every electronic music lover’s diary, the Sunday afternoon party works to create the ultimate experience in venues unique to themselves. Deliciously deep and groovy house, sexy disco and forward thinking techno are all on the menu at every Half Baked.

Most recently, Rainer earned a place as resident at the crisp and underground Wednesday night grooves of LOUD Barcelona, hosted at the legendary Macarena.

His latest EP on the vinyl-only Russian label Redpanda reached Number 1 on decks.de and sold out in weeks. With Vera’s charmed touch, remixing Budapest into Budacust, no wonder it was such a hit.
