Biography

Originally formed in mid-2012, Raintown Seers have gone through a process of evolution and development both in terms of musical style and personnel. With their outstanding singer (Florida native - Sara Beth), and RNCM-trained Chris on violin, keys and additional backing vocals, Raintown Seers, is now a 4-piece roots/Americana band who together produce a unique blend of acoustic music with roots in the folk traditions of both sides of the Atlantic. Each with their own rich and lengthy musical experience, these musicians bring diverse influences and instrumental skills, combining guitar, violin, upright bass and 2 and 3-part harmonies into oustanding original songs and contemporary cover versions.

We recently played the Manchester/Glossop Folk Train event (and will return in November) and have appeared at numerous small festivals and venues in and around the High Peak, Sheffield and South Manchester. We will also be playing at Solfest (Cumbria) this year on the August Bank holiday weekend. Finalists in this year’s Americana UK “Twang Factor” competition with our music video “All Of Our Dreams”.
