Manchester and London three piece REAVE, formed in 2019, combine synth, guitar and drums in a classic, yet modern take on the synth-pop genre. The band, who met through a combination of school and the internet have not let the year 2020 slow them down. They have released an impressive five singles so far, the first – “Get To Know Me” has recently reached over 1.5 million streams on Spotify in just over a year.
The band have many personal influences ranging over multiple genres and decades. They have been likened to artists such as Modern Talking, MGMT, Arcade Fire & Moby. The band write, record, and produce all their music, allowing them complete freedom to express themselves musically and creatively. Although there is a core 80’s feel to REAVE’s sound, each track has its own Identity, incorporating a range of musical styles and production techniques.
Like many artists REAVE have faced many challenges in 2020 due to the pandemic, but with the live music scene emerging again the band are planning to make up for lost time. With gigs already booked across the country, 2021 is looking positive for the Manchester-Based trio.
