Biography

Ripton Lindsay from Jamaica is a choreographer, dancer, tutor, DJ, and poet. Immersed in his Jamaican culture, he brings a mix of traditional/contemporary urban dance styles to the programme. He inspires and connects with young people from differing background, cultures and abilities.

Born in Jamaica, Ripton grew up immersed in music and dance. Part of the Bristol HI-Fi Family, Ripton has performed at WOMAD, Glastonbury Festival and The Big Chill. His work experiments with both traditional and contemporary music, incorporating hip hop and reggae.

"As a multi-art form and music festival, I'm looking forward to the Village Green festival to enjoy the moments it brings and share my culture and talents with a wider audience at the Global Village Stage. It will be a moment of exchanging energies and also look forward to sharing the space with like minded artistes. I truly look forward to delivering the Global Essex programme at Village Green 2017 festival. Thanks to Metal Culture for producing such event."
