“Rob seems to instinctively know when to bring in the mix and some mixing it is! Smooth gliding mixes thread a variety of deep house and techno together. Some of which creep up almost invisibly to announce the next tune.” Muzik Magazine June 97
Winning the Muzik Magazine Bedroom Bedlam Award gave Rob the opportunity to play a variety of clubs and venues around the U.K, such as Mezzanine (Wolverhampton), Spank (Aberystwyth), Escape (Brighton) as well as for London institutions Wiggle, Kerfuffle, Lunar and Technology.
In October 1997 after the launch party for the record label Alien Recordings, Rob and his friends were inspired to start their own regular party, Alienation which ran for several years.
During 1998, Rob’s passion for music drew him into the studio and by the end of that year, he had his debut release with Navigator (Andy Panayi) under the name ‘Stopouts’ on Alien Recordings.
Rob went on to release records on labels such as Groovepressure and Oblong, and in more recent times with the resurgence of the Alien Recordings sound being picked up by a whole new generation of vinyl “diggers” Rob has released more records on labels such as R.A.N.D. Muzik (Germany) Euphoric State (U.K) A Colourful Storm (Australia) and Kommuna (Spain) which has, in turn, lead to more DJ bookings around Europe.
In 2019, Alien Imprints was conceived as a sub label to Alien Recordings to showcase a mixture of rising stars alongside established artists from around the globe, now on its third release it has been keeping Rob busy through lockdown and beyond!!
