Biography
Worked at the Blackpool Mecca from 1970-77 on the legendary Sunday nights in the Highland Room.
Also worked at The Cats Whiskers in Burnley,The Cats Whiskers in Oldham,The Blue Room in Sale and The Birdcage in Ashton. Started DJing again in 2007 and also promoted the live appearance of Kim Weston at Blackpool Football Club.
Today I appear at both The Tower & Winter Garden events in Blackpool and all of The Blackpool Soul Club nights plus plenty of local soul nights. Away from my DJ work I am PA Announcer at Fleetwood Town FC.
Until the station went bust recently have presented The Rod Allsworth Classic Soul Show on Fylde Community Radio for the last 3 years
