Gush Records was set up by Seb Marx in 2009 to be the digital outlet for his prolific musical production. Gush is an eclectic label- tunes range from electro to minimal, dubstep to techno. A master at music technology, Seb produces using ableton and logic. His background in playing guitar, drums and bass in garage punk bands across europe has a clear influence on his music. Each tune is said to take you on a musical journey. His tunes are fast paced, percussive and groove driven. Seb Marx has come up through the London techno scene and has built a reputation as one of the most unique live performers on the European underground. With Gush Records, Seb is taking the skills honed through years of rocking warehouses and free parties, and has fun with them. The driving, relentless rhythms and pounding grooves of techno are still there, but Seb brings vocal samples and synths to the fore. He funks up the percussion too, creating mutant disco that is uplifting and fun, while maintaining a solid, bassy, slightly darker edge. The tracks collected here represent the full range of Seb's current output. From the tracky, deep grooves of Minipute with it's Detroit funk and rolling bass, to the pumping cut n paste house of Toxyman.
