Hailing from Poland, Manchester resident Sebastian Markiewicz is steadily emerging as a force to be reckoned with in the underground electronic music scene. His 2013 debut release on Compatible Music, a label of which he is also the founder, garnered immediate support from the likes of John Digweed, Dubfire and Catz n' Dogs. Having had these early studio efforts certified by such an array of credible artists, Sebastian continued his journey of learning and developing throughout his debut year and into 2014, with a number of plays on Digweed's 'Transitions' radio show along the way. And with recent releases on Digweed's Bedrock Records as part of the 'Live In' compilation series, Sebastian has earned more fans of his melody infused, bottom-heavy club sound.
Markiewicz's DJ exploits have also found favour with some highly respected peers. Sebastian was invited to feature as guest DJ on a summer Ibiza Global Radio broadcast, hosted by Bravofox, and such was his impact that a subsequent approach to remix a Bravofox single for the established Wiggle Records became a reality.
Looking to the future, Sebastian has ambitious plans for 2018 and beyond. Recent collaborations have already found favour with Bedrock Records and there are a plethora of new collaborative projects with Breccia in the pipeline. These will drop while augmenting his already well-bolstered solo discography and efforts will continue to satisfy fans of his DJ work, via a stream of podcasts, radio broadcasts and live shows.
