Selin Gecit was born in 1998 in istanbul, she was raised in Great Britain for 12 years of her life.

Her musical journey started when she was 8 when she first recorded hallelujah from Alexandra Burke with her father who is an amateur musician.

She then started making youtube videos which gained her recognition in the Istanbul music environment.

In 2015 she won third place in a nationwide high school music competition for best female voice

The following year she came first place for best female voice. Selin gigged around Istanbul with her band Frey until she moved to UK.

She is currently studying at BIMM LONDON university and has started gigging around venues in London with her bandmates formed at BIMM.

Their style consists of some funky and contemporary RnB infused originals with some cool covers. On the other hand Selin plays acoustic gigs with her originals, presenting a more stripped back soul setting.
