Shades of Django play acoustic jazz in the style of the famous Quintet du Hot Club de France and its seminal musicians, Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Shades of Django present music from the 1930s and 1940s in an authentic style, together with anecdotes which explain some of the context of this inter-war fusion of swing jazz and traditional gypsy music.
