Shakey grew up on 90's Dance. Mesmerized by Pete Tong's mixing on the Ministry of Sound's 'Annual' compilations, Shakey bought his first pair of decks."That first buzz from beatmatching on those wobbly Numarks has never left him. "It was so satisfying to complete a mix that didn't sound like a stampede of elephants!" Shakey jokes. "You've created something new and exciting - it's just ridiculously addictive!" Over the following years, Shakey got lost in the world of records, first drawn to the sounds of US House & Garage from producers like Todd Terry, Marc Kinchin, and Masters of Work, then to UKG by artists like Grant Nelson, Tuff Jam, and Sunship.Shakey's sets today cover both House and Tech House from labels such as Defected, Hot Creations, Spinnin', and Toolroom. "It keeps things moving when you mix both" Shakey says. "Punching in a hard Tech bassline over a nice vocal, melodic, house track works magic! That extra low-end gets people really energised - it's amazing to watch!"

Shakey has recently joined SESƧIONS - a multi dance genre event founded by Essex DJ, Chrisy Stebbeds."I'm loving being part of it! It's a fantastic opportunity that I'm really grateful for" he says. "Being involved in the scene allows you to see how the music brings people together, whether it's DJs or Ravers, and many of us are both!"

Shakey says that he loves that Dance music sees no divisions. "If you care about the music, you're in - no matter who you are, how old, or where you come from.
