Acoustic 2 piece band with guitar and Cajon drum. Driving tunes and upbeat feel.

Shoes4brakes formed in 2012 on the back of many years playing as the 4 piece band 'Crafty Jack'. When work, family and real life got in the way of keeping up regular gigging as a 4 piece, the band wound down to playing the occassionalparty or event.

Gareth (Guitar and Lead vocal) continued to write and develop songs acoustically and soon had a small catalogue of tunes up his sleeve. Meanwhile Simon (Cajon and Backing vocal), got to thinking about a wooden box you could play as a drum that he'd seen in a bar in London years ago.

The two got together to see if they could make anything of the new tunes and the Cajon. Pretty soon a version of the track 'Minnesota' came together and a couple of others such as 'Natalie' and 'Tell Me' and with that they headed for the 'Out of the Bedroom ' Open Mic at Leaf Cafe in Liverpool.

Since then they have continued to gig regulary in Liverpools iconic venues and further afield.
