Simon Mansell has done Over 40 years of DJing, starting in the northeast as the only Jazz DJ in the area, moving to London in the late eighties & played at The legendary Wag club, The Rock Garden & many other cool venues.

In the 90’s Simon was in demand at high-end bars, Hotels & celebrity parties in members bars in London & was resident at the legendary Malibu Stacey at the Hanover grand. That said, he is most well known for playing at 45 Southport Dance weekenders & ran the jazz room.

As well as been a successful jazz funk soul DJ Simon also played at the Original School Disco & other more mainstream Big Venues where he covered all styles of tunes.

Regarding Jazz his No 1 passion he has played 20 years at Shiftless Shuffle, the main jazz event in the uk as well as Out to lunch in Nottingham & my Favourite things in the Middlesbrough area.

He is still waiting for the call to play at the Dingwall’s jazz dance twice a year event.

In recent years has moved to the seaside town of Sheringham & is planning his own soul funk jazz disco Weekender there.

He will never retire from DJ life, but he has become pickier on what he does.
