Not long after meeting at the Soul Provider record shop, ‘The Surgery’ resident, Curly CJ and Steve Cole began DJing at the Blue Note, Hoxton Square, hosing Sunday Soul Affair. After legendary club closed its doors for the last time, the duo carried on DJing at the likes of ‘True Spirit’, Jazz Café, Point 101, Spiritland, Ibiza Soul Week and various other soul weekenders and all dayers. After many twists and turns, Soul Affair found a new home at the now famous Burlington Arms in Mayfair on Saturdays and has been running there for nearly a decade of monthly parties.
