'...a psychedelic whirl of chanting, dancing, drums, cymbals...' (The Times)
Tibet - the Land of Snows: home of Buddhist lamas whose ancient rituals have fascinated people for thousands of years. Forced into exile by the Chinese invasion of 1959, the monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery share their endangered culture with audiences in the west. Their performances bring to the west the sacred music of the Himalayas - the long horns, bone trumpets, skull drums and oboes; masked dancers in brocade robes; the sacred chant from the monastery and a display of the traditional art of debate, part of the monks' spiritual education. They have toured extensively in the UK and Europe and have made a number of CDs and DVDs.
