Biography

TFREE: A collective made up of Junglist Children: Kaya Fyah, JNR Baptist, Izachar & Concreature. Think heavyweight Junglist riddims, subby basslines, conscious lyrics, & high energy fluid skanking.

Meet the New Generation Junglists behind the Rising Sun EP:

Kaya Fyah is the undeniable heart and soul of the Rising Sun EP and the backbone of the TFREE collective. As the lead vocalist, her powerful and emotive voice delivers deeply profound lyrics, offering a raw intensity that grounds the project. Her influence is unmistakable, infusing the EP with the authenticity that comes from her deep-rooted heritage as the daughter of jungle legend Congo Natty. Kaya isn’t just the voice; she’s the force that binds the group, driving their shared creative vision forward.

JNR Baptist On the bars, JNR Baptist brings a razor-sharp edge. His conscious, thought-provoking lyrics cut through with precision, blending effortlessly with Kaya's melodies to create a potent vocal synergy. His verses challenge societal norms, calling for reflection and action, while still keeping the vibes deeply rooted in jungle culture.

Concreature steps up as not only a backing vocalist but also a lyricist, contributing his unique voice to the collective. Known for his lyrical depth and energetic stage presence, Concreature adds another layer of intensity, weaving his own bars into the sound. With Fluid Skanking on stage inspired by the early jungle era and soundsystem culture, he brings dynamic flair to every performance. His harmonies, woven throughout the EP, add an essential layer of texture that elevates the collective’s sound and visual presence.

Izachar: Behind the scenes but at the very core of their sound is Izachar. As the producer and DJ behind standout tracks like “Jungle Woman” and “Miss You More Each Day,” Izachar masterfully merges reggae, jungle, and bass-heavy riddims to shape the group's signature sound. His years of experience collaborating with Congo Natty and developing his own solo work have given him the skills to craft beats that are both timeless and forward-thinking, pushing the boundaries of jungle music.
