With a repertoire that stretches from ABBA to Zeppelin and back again, The Kicks are guaranteed to fill your dance floor! A definitive power trio that includes the charismatic front man, John McIntyre (formerly of the popular wedding band, The Works) and one of the country’s best rhythm sections - Neil MacDougall (drums) and Steven Adamson (bass) – The Kicks cover a wide range of genres with ease and combine it with a live show that sets them apart from the competition.
Since forming the band at the end of February 2012, the band have been hard at work - adding more songs to their repertoire and packing dance floors around the country (including a Wednesday night residency in BOX, GLASGOW - a cracking live music venue where the band regularly test out new material!).
In November 2012, the band performed in front of 40,000 people at Falkirk City Council's annual fireworks show at Callendar Park. After releasing their first album; a collection of cover songs the band have been performing live for the past year, the band embarked on a short tour of Holland which included an appearance on the Dutch TV and Radio Show, Omrop Fryslan, which broadcasts to over 60,000 viewers! The band quickly sold out of CD's and T-Shirts on tour and the response from the audiences ensured that The Kicks will be returning to headline a festival in Friesland, Holland in June 2013.
