THE ROY PFEFFER TRIO
Band leader and drummer Roy Pfeffer is one of London's most recognised ambassadors of New Orleans music.
He leads acclaimed New Orleans funk band The Big Smoke Family - regulars at Ronnie Scott’s and favorites on New Orleans biggest radio station WWOZ. He is also a founding member of The Cosimo Matassa Project - a band dedicated to 1950 New Orleans rhythm ’n’ blues and playing music by artists such as Fats Domino, Smiley Lewis and Dr John.
His own trio plays a soulful mix of New Orleans jazz, Mardi Gras and funk with repertoire from Grant Green, Horace Silver, Idris Muhammad and Many More.
