The UK has long been recognized as a breeding ground for electronic music talent, and one artist who embodies this tradition is Tommy Phillips. Originally from Northampton, Tommy's journey into the world of house music began at 18 when he attended his first rave, sparking a deep-seated passion for the genre.
A fusion of early Chicago house and breakbeat-style electronic drums defines Tommy's signature sound, resonating with high-energy beats and infectious vocal hooks. His recent release, the Smokin EP on Hector Couto's Roush label dominated Beatport charts, earning widespread acclaim from renowned venues worldwide, including Pacha Ibiza, Warehouse Project, Fabric London, and Space Miami. This success also led to a feature in DJ MAG.
Tommy's dedication and talent have garnered respect from influential figures in the industry, including Jamie Jones, Max Dean, Sidney Charles, and Archie Hamilton, while the BBC has highlighted him as a promising talent.
Having completed two successful South American tours, performing in key cities like Buenos Aires, Medellin, Quito, and Santiago, Tommy is gearing up for a third tour in October 2024, alongside Waff. He is also set to release his second EP, Foolish Stuff, a 3-track collection on Ben Rau's label Meta. With new releases on prominent labels and performances lined up at iconic events, Tommy Phillips continues to make his mark on the global dance music scene.
