Leeds rock n’ roll band Velvela announced their arrival with the release of their debut single Prowl earlier this year (available on all download/streaming platforms) and a new video to accompany the track. The feral slice of down and dirty fuzz rock is powered by scorching guitar riffs, pounding drums and howling vocals. After time spent in previous bands touring up and down the UK earning their stripes, Velvela arrive fully formed in 2018 as a fiery blues-rock gang spilling over with energy and ambition. Inspired by the greats (Led Zeppelin, Jack White) and modern artists like QOTSA and Rival Sons, they’ve already made a storming impression at shows with This Feeling. With Prowl on the loose, this is just the beginning for the young rock n’ rollers.
