Violette is a sister duo using close vocal harmonies, piano and guitar to spin tales about the things that often go unsaid - the story in the footnote, the world in the postscript.

They are self-taught musicians who have been writing their own material together from a very young age, taking inspiration from books and the past, as well as their love for nature and landscape. While rooted in the folk tradition, their songs are genre-defying short stories, character studies and vignettes.
