Voices Beyond want to give the UK Gospel scene a new sound and look, and believe their music, which is a fusion of Gospel, Jazz, R&B and Motown does just that.
Voices Beyond are a Manchester-based gospel collective of singers/musicians that write original songs and are passionate about sharing the gospel through their unique sound. The collective has been together since 2013 and are passionate about creating and performing uplifting and inspirational music, with the mission to touch and encourage everybody who listens.
Their first EP ‘A.W.E’ (Authentic Worship Everyday), released November 2015, was very well received and reached number18 in the iTunes inspirational charts. You can expect to hear songs that appeal to both Christians and non-Christians. Whilst the EP has songs that everybody can dance and praise God to like ‘You Make Me Wanna’ there are also songs like ‘Worship’ that challenge Christians to live a life of ‘authentic worship’ on a daily basis and ‘Castaway’ which encourages people to cast their burdens and fears unto the Lord when in difficult circumstances.
Voices Beyond have already performed at a wide range of events including The Manchester International Festival, The Palm House Gospel Festival and The Prince's Trust Humber Futures event. The standard collective set-up consists of 4 singers and an accompanist and would be ideal for all types of events ranging from acoustic café style evenings right through to large festivals.
