Web Sheldon (born William Edward Barker on 20th February 1982) is an English singer, songwriter and musician originally from Sheffield, and now living in London, UK.
His recorded work is mainly acoustic folk/pop or folktronica although his YouTube Channel shows him covering songs of many genres including jazz, soul, reggae and country and blending them with his own style.
Web recorded a Demo of original material in 2005 and has since been uploading individual songs to download as they are completed. His traditional songs are mainly confessional lyrics accompanied by acousitc guitar or piano. He sings about his own experiences and emotions and writes songs often like a journal - singing about feelings such as love, indulgence, anguish, obsession, loss, jealousy, desire, optimism.
From 2004 - 2006, he was lead singer for the Sheffield electro-rock band Mothership and prior to that was lead singer and guitarist for indie rock band Beyond Obsession.
