WHOARETHEPEOPLE is a charismatic jazz soul band known for playing their own originally composed jazz mix as well as blending classic beats with sultry vocals and catchy melodies, reigniting people's passion for jazz with their own unique twist.
Launched as an introspective project their first album “ Beautiful Underground†was born when long time friends and co founders Cedric Pytel and Christelle St Jean collaborated to create a polished collection of funky and soulful tracks.
Heavily associated with independent label Ragtime Production their first EP “Passing Clouds†inspired by the quirky live music venue in London was soon to be followed by a live EP recorded at Ragtime Studio in Hackney Wick , blending catchy melodies, slick vocals and instrumental harmony in an intimate setting and featuring well sought after musicians Verity Guthrie, Aliocha Thevenet and Matt Findlay.
