WSTRN, named to acknowledge the members' West London, England roots, is a pop-rap/R&B group. The trio originally uploaded their first single, "In2," billed as Akelle Charles, Louis Rei, and Haile, but they opted to take on a collective name once it was sensed that they might have a significant hit on their hands. The U.K. wing of major label Atlantic signed the trio, who had their affable yet attitudinal "In2" granted an official release in November 2015. On its way to commercial success, the track was aired on BBC Radio 1Xtra and supported by Drake. It eventually topped the U.K. R&B chart and peaked at number four on the pop chart. Follow-up "Got Love" was issued that December.
