Wylhelm, aka Zoltan Wilhelm: Electronic composer and Vinyl obsessive London
His musical styles cover a diverse range: from progressive and minimal techno to psychedelic trance, ambient, chill out, jazz and world music.
Each style that he creates is produced under its' own original name.
As Zoltan Sultan, his sound is an eclectic mix of eastern and arabic folk with jazz and lounge influences.
As Alienbient he will take you on a live mystical, mysterious ambient voyage of soundscapes and samples.
The Nondroids project is progressive, psychedelic music bursting with dirty beats and floating melodies.
Most well known as DJ Wylhelm, he has had crowds dancing in many of the underground clubs in London from Shoreditch to Camden, around much of Europe in festivals and clubs from Budapest to Barcelona, and even as far as Fukushima and Tokyo in Japan.
Wylhelm is not only a DJ. He has been involved in the organisation, set-up, decoration and stage management of a number of festivals including Transylvania Calling and Aurora Festival. After his 2009 Japanese tour he was involved with setting up the Total Eclipse Party with the Askarabaskara Crew. Wylhelm started Askarabaskara parties because, in his own words, his “bedroom was just too small”. Sometimes at these parties you can catch him making 10 hour vinyl sets mixing totally diverse styles and genres; from dark minimal beats and old acid loops all the way to gypsy folk and whale songs.
Now based in the UK, he has been writing his own music for two years. He played his first live set in Transylvania Calling 2011, Romania and now continues to work on live projects. In March 2012 his first LP 'Wakeful Chill', will be released on Russian label Gliese581c and will be available to download for free on their website.
