Xana is a looper musician and poet who combines looper techniques with freestyle rap, storytelling, sound experiments, poetry, beatbox and improvisation, taking inspiration from the spheres of Afrofuturism, Blaxploitation, funk and dancehall. Xana has collaborated with artists in theatre and on film, including Cecile Emeke’s The Ancestors Came and Travis Alabanza’s Burgerz, and will be the sound designer for the theatre adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s Noughts and Crosses.
