XERO are a rock band formed in Newcastle. After meeting at school and finding themselves spending more time making music than actually attending lessons, Steff, Jamie and Jordan created XERO. Their music is fuelled by a mutual love for groove-based hard rock, a disdain for posing over playing and the intent to make this decade the one that brings rock back into the limelight.
After over a year of gigging consistently in the North and armed with their new drummer, Alex, they decided to up sticks and invade the south of England to show them how it’s done. A love of playing live saw them touring venues and festivals, gaining them support from BBC Introducing.
To date, they have released a self-titled EP which helped to start the ball rolling. They are currently writing and recording for their next release, due early 2016, which sees them further develop their distinctive rock sound.
Scarred by the ballads of Taylor Swift, tormented by the tedious tunes of One Direction and hardened by the northern climate, Xero have created a machine powered by passion and great riffs.
