I found myself in a market place where mild intensions were bought,
Across the way a butcher stood selling rose’s heads with bloody knives and forks,
There was a scare crow singing endlessly,
Songs of time and law,
And scientists in over coats investigating the cracks in the walls,
I knew there was something to learn here though I couldn’t figure out what,
So I grabbed my ticket for the coach and on the coach I got,
My phone was ringing endlessly,
Jesus Christ was on the line,
He said if you wanna talk equality you better call me back when you die,
Although strange as it was I guess I did never question why,
I just put my phone beside me and waved the market good bye,
I wound up in a circus,
Expressed I had no tricks,
The ringmaster he just shook me and said
‘Hey man, get a grip’
He handed me a tailcoat, top hat and a whip,
He said ‘releases the lions’
That hit me, like a boat to an iceberg tip,
The lion came out and spoke, he said
‘Hey man don’t you know? I’m not gonna eat ya its just part of the show’
I looked down to my wristwatch,
The hands said quarter to nine,
I said ‘I’m sorry friends I gotta run maybe some other time’
So I escaped the market place and the circus, what a drag!
When an Elephant politely asked if I knew the way to France,
I told him id been their once before although it was a very long time back,
Though I would offer a rough direction if only he had a map,
So into his pocket he went,
Pulled a compass that pointed south,
I said ‘Is this some kinda joke?’
And he said ‘watch your mouth!’
I could see things were heating up and he would never find his way,
So I cut my loss and left him lost then went about my day,
It was in the forest my story ends,
The tree whispered in the breeze,
I heard them speak about life and dream reality,
I asked them is this real life or is reality a dream,
To which they replied ‘Sit down son, come tell us what you’ve seen’
