You Want Fox are a shot of adrenaline to the UK music scene. Hailing from Nottingham and comprising of Natalie (bass/vocals) and Colette (Drums/vocals) they formed in early 2015. The energetic duo creates a Rock music sound that is heavily influenced by pop hooks. The girls are driven by catchy melodies and clever harmonies.
Their first show supporting songstress Misty Miller on her tour, led to a wave of other high profile bookings, including Dot to Dot and Macmillan festivals alongside Sikth and InMe. They have played several shows at the prestigious Nottingham Rock City venue, and recently bagged the main support slot for indie sensations Riding The Low, fronted by actor Paddy Considine.
Success after success has led the duo to become firm favourites on BBC introducing and other local radio shows. Their debut single Bad Girls made an instant impact on YouTube and has now notched up over 20,000 views. You Want Fox have appealed to national magazines such as the mighty Kerrang and have also been reviewed for WhatsOn where their album ‘You Can’t Sit With Us’ received a five star rating.
Their shows are riotously entertaining – and will leave you realising that their name is very clever and you do want fox!
“Bad Girls is one hell of an entrance for Midlands duo You Want Fox. It struts in, all glamorous punk and sleazy garage, instantly leaving handprints on the memory before strutting straight out again. There’s libidinous rhythms, buzz saw riffs that work like lead guitar but make the ribcage throb as only a bass can, and a glossy lipstick sneer of a chorus. Royal Blood have some company, and this time it’s arrived in high heels.”
Steve B, Kerrang Magazine
"I love the contrast between beautiful ethereal voices and that really grungy dirty bass line. The bass line for take me home is stunning.
And then the vocals floating on the top. There's something unnerving about it. It's like a siren song, drawing you in..."
Dean Jackson, BBC Introducing
“A punk-rock post hop-pop grunge band girls want to be and boys want to be in”
I’m Not From London Records
“Grungey sounds of You Want Fox – the ultimate girl-power band that make The Spice Girls look even
sillier.”
