How to Learn a Session Tune with Christine Reynolds

This workshop is aimed at people who have learned a few tunes regularly played at sessions and who would like to learn how to learn new tunes. I will teach a tune that, hopefully, people do not yet know and show techniques that can be used to learn other tunes too. It is aimed at “tune” instruments rather than those that give the backing rhythm. A reasonable fluency with the scales of G and D would be useful, arpeggios would also be a bonus but you practise these regularly anyway, of course….

The tune will be taught by ear and a printed copy will be available to take home if you wish. I would also suggest that making a recording  on the day might also be useful for when you go home.

Following the workshop there will be a steady session with Polly you might like to join.

Under 16's need to be accompanied by an adult.
