Review of On The Beach 2024 - Bicep

Hi Team,

Regrettably, I can honestly say this was one of the worst events I've ever been to. 

Sound - we could barely hear any of the acts, bicep's sound briefly improved for 5 mins then went back to being really quiet. It genuinely sounded tinny like someone was playing it out their phone at the front. When charging £70+ for a ticket at what is an audible experience the sound really needs to be spot on. It was the same last year at Fatboy Slim and the DNB on the beach - thought it may have been sorted for this one. 

Atmosphere - there was no music between the DJ's so everyone was just standing around edgy, not really knowing what was happening and killed the vibe even more.

I went to BICEP live in Finsbury Park exactly 2 weeks after this event and it was chalk and cheese, one of the best nights i've had.  Sound system was in a different league and you could hear it just as clear at the front and the back.

Appreciate there are probably restrictions from Brighton Council especially with Pride a few weeks after on the beach but if the tunes can't be played at a decent level until 10pm when it finished then I think alot of people won't be returning. Views above shared by everyone I spoke to and in my group around 20 of us.

Really disappointed this year, sound was awful

Loved BICEP, loved the sun - however the speakers were so quiet so much of the crowd couldn't hear their great set! When people's conversations are louder than the music you think something was wrong with the sound.
Queues were very very long for everything, particularly for a toilet, it felt like too many people in one space and not enough facilities in place. Tickets were £75, it really wasn't worth the money, so I wouldn't go again.

There should have been more toilets provided as there was always a big queue, and perhaps soap to wash your hands with as there was only hand gel and then taps. But the staff were very helpful handing out water and sun cream since it was such a hot and sunny day, which I thought was brilliant and what should happen at all outdoor summer events like this. The music was amazing and I met some lovely people there!

Way too busy, massive queues, drinks overpriced but most importantly the sound quality was terrible! Could hear everyones conversations better than the music. Won't be returning next year.

Great music and line up. I would definitely advise having more toilets and more flooring for the dance area
