About

TAKINOVERSPACE presents HERE TO STAY the launch

Join us for a night of powerful music, community, and solidarity, brought to you by our revolutionary music magazine TAKINOVERSPACE.

HERE TO STAY is dedicated to showcasing diverse talent and breaking down barriers in the music industry. Part of the proceeds raised from this event will go towards supporting a top surgery. 🏳️‍⚧️ Let's come together to celebrate inclusivity, support, and empowerment.

Note: This event is entirely self-funded. The sliding ticket system is in place to ensure that everyone can attend the event without struggling excessively. We are confident that you would also understand that the higher tier prices allow us not only to cover expenses but also to provide access for those who cannot afford to pay more than £10.

LINEUP

TaliaBle (punk-rap from North London)

Livwynter (anarchist poet presenting VIOLENCE EP)

Thirdkulture (new metal vibes, first time in London)

Open door 7pm, first act starting 8pm.

ABOUT TAKINOVERSPACE Music Mag.

Takinoverspace isn't your typical music magazine; it's a platform dedicated to breaking the mold. We're committed to showcasing music liberated from misogyny, racism, sexism, homo/ transphobia. Our focus extends beyond the mainstream, highlighting queer-related topics and artists often overlooked by conventional outlets. Despite progress toward inclusivity, the music industry still tends to favor artists fitting mainstream, heteronormative, and capitalist ideals, leaving many talented individuals behind. As LGBTQ+ members of the music scene, we crave for more allies to amplify queer voices authentically. It's upsetting to see queer identities exploited for superficial inclusivity without genuine action. We're not just about representation; we're about real inclusion. We call on music executives to step aside at times, allowing queer individuals to shine. "Queer" isn't just a buzzword—it's a vibrant community deserving genuine recognition. If mainstream outlets won't provide space, we'll be Taking Over Space to ensure queer voices are truly heard and celebrated.
