Jurassic Dance is held at Wilkswood Farm in Swanage.

There are no cash machines on the festival site but there will be card payment facilities in the main bar and the majority of food and merchandise stalls.

If you bring a quantity of cash with you please keep it safe and secure and don’t keep all your cash and valuables in the same place. 

The festival venue, Wilkswood Farm, is a working cattle farm for most of the year. Because broken glass would be an obvious danger to grazing animals, glass bottles are not permitted in the main arena or the camping areas. This is in line with the majority of UK music festivals. If you arrive at the camping area with glass bottles you will be requested to return them to your vehicle or decant them into suitable containers; failing this it will be confiscated at the entrance. Beer cans and plastic bottles are permitted but we request that you use either the waste bins provided or remove your litter to leave the site.

Unfortunately, because the festival site is part of a livestock farm, we cannot allow dogs anywhere on the festival site with the exception of registered guide dogs. However, there are several campsites in the area that allow dogs: check out Acton Field and Tom’s Field in Langton Matravers and Harmans Cross Campsite, all of which are close to the festival site.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept any other generators onsite other than those necessary for the live music, the sound systems and the caterers.

Yes. Jurassic Dance has an allocated field for campervans, motorhomes and caravans.

Only vehicles that have been specifically adapted to sleep and live in will be allowed. Unfortunately, this does not mean work vans with a mattress in the back. 

No tents are allowed to the side of the van to prevent contiguous fires and only one small/pup tent is allowed behind each van. Van awnings are allowed. 

One car is allowed with each caravan. This cannot be moved until the festival ends so if you think you will need to leave the site during the weekend, the car must be left in the car park.

A van camping ticket must be purchased separately to guarantee a pitch.

Also, please note that there will be no electricity or water hookups provided.  

The extra charge for the camper vans is to cover tow outs, repairing damaged farmland and chemical toilet waste provision. It creates a contingency fund for when the weather is bad and we have to employ ‘tracking’ and local farm vehicles to help clear the site. We’ve been thankfully blessed with the weather over the last three years but, without this contingency and should wet weather occur, the cost of laying tracking and towing out vehicles could seriously deplete the festivals’ finances for subsequent years.

Yes, there are hot showers as well as washing facilities and toilets, all of which will be regularly cleaned and inspected throughout the festival. There is a small charge for the use of the showers.

Yes. There are several water points on the campsite for campers and general use.

There are no electrical hookups or phone charging points on site. The use of portable phone chargers is encouraged if you wish to stay ‘connected’ for the weekend. However, we hope most of you will take the opportunity to go ‘off-grid’ and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of the festival. The festival programme will have details of the weekend’s schedule and acts and the lineup and times will also be signposted at various points in the main arena.

Unfortunately, neither open fires nor charcoal barbecues are allowed at the festival. Basically, if it can create a spark, do not use it; the grass is tinder-dry in the summer and it won’t take much to get it going. Gas-fired stoves/barbecues (raised up from ground level, either with a stand or on stable blocks) are permitted. The festival will have a communal fire-pit zone for those not ready to turn in straight after the live acts finish performing.

Chinese lanterns are also not permitted as they pose a threat to livestock as well as a risk of fire.

The festival is on a working farm in the Purbeck Hills with unmade tracks and some arduous slopes so access is always going to be a challenge for the physically disabled. 

Jurassic Dance have a separate accessible camping area for much closer to the main arena. We have also designated parking for Blue Badge holders situated adjacent to the camping areas. You will need to email info@jurassicdance.com to discuss this further and to book a pitch.

We will also have the Camp Gator, a golf buggy-style vehicle capable of carrying camping equipment for festival-goers requiring assistance. The Gator will also be available to able-bodied campers for a small hire charge. 

There will be no electricity or water hook-ups on site at all so if this is important you may want to look at nearby Woodyhyde Campsite which has full facilities.

There will be locked accessible toilets in this campsite and in the main event area.  Please contact a steward as you arrive for details.
