Dunbar Civic Week presents Soundwaves.
2024 has two headline acts and two local support bands from Dunbar.
Forgetting the Future are a 4 piece indie rock act from Thurso. Their captivating energetic stage energy has earned them gigs alongside Sam Fender, The Lottery Winners and many more. They have sold out many headline gigs and major festival slots at The Isle of Wight, Belladrum and many more. They have worked with Edwyn Collins and most recently Ken Allardyce (previously worked with Green Day). They have caught the attention of National Radio: BBC Scotland, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, and coverage from The Scotsman Newspaper, Netsounds and Louder than War.
Kyoshi Station are a 5 piece band from Edinburgh. They have an album under their belt, and all releases so far have received national and international radio airplay. Their studio album "Impostors" was received with huge acclaim, and their presence has been written about by many music journalists and publications.
Room 27 are a local all female band who have gone on to touring around Scotland in 2024, and have been successful in being invited to tour with other bands. Most recently they were on the road with Hit the Road tours.
The Watts are also Dunbar based, and have a new three piece line up that are receiving excellent feedback, and have initial gigs booked in East Lothian in April 2024.
