About

"Roth's compositions range from instantly memorable melodiesgivingrisetofiligree-delicateacousticwork". vortex jazz

Pete Roth has distinguished himself as a remarkable guitarist and composer with a career marked by innovation and artistic excellence. His mastery of the guitar, combined with a deep understanding of composition, results in a musical journey that is both technically dazzling and emotionally resonant.

One of the hallmarks of Pete’s career is his collaboration with renowned artists across various genres. He has shared the stage with such illustrious names as Brian Dee (Miles Davis, Chet Baker), The London Gala Orchestra, Olivier Award-winning Maria Friedmann (Stephen Sondheim, Michel Legrand), Tim Sanders (Eric Clapton, The Who), Steve Bell (London Philharmonic) and Olivier Award-winning Michael Haslam among many others.

Signed, since 2010, to MGP Records, Pete has extensively toured the UK and Europe extensively with concerts ranging from Ronnie Scott’s to the Royal Festival Hall.

His decision to start a new trio with bass and drums is an exciting development, affording him the opportunity to explore new sounds and to experiment with different melodic and harmonic approaches. This new-found freedom is a hallmark of Roth's music and is sure to delight fans of his previous works.
