Euros Childs supported by Selma French, live in Sheffield
Music Genres
Euros Childs's new album 'Beehive Beach' UK tour is coming to Sheffield on Tuesday the 10th of December 2024 for a full band live performance (for the first time in 7 years). Musical support will be ably provided by long term collaborators Stephen Black (aka Sweet Baboo) Stuart Kidd (Kidd, The Wellgreen) and Selma French (Morgonrode, Frøkedal).
Since the final Gorky's Zygotic Mynci release in 2003 Euros Childs has released 19 albums, mainly solo with some great collaborations (check out 2012's 'Summer Special', 2011's 'Jonny by Jonny' and 2019's 'Gingerbread House Explosion').
Euros has also been recording and touring the world as a member of Teenage Fanclub since he joined them in 2019.
The show is at Sheffield's legendary live venue the Hallamshire Hotel (182 West Street. S1 4ET). This historic part of Sheffield's music scene has re-opened this year following a complete refurb with a new upstairs live room (new stage, new soundsystem, an additional upstairs bar and an additional upstairs WC) plus extensive outdoor seating.
Expect a show full of life, zest and humour that draws on Euros's extensive back catalogue, as well as songs from his forthcoming album Beehive Beach, due for release in October. You will be able to buy a selection of Euros Childs LPs and CDs (and who knows what other goodies?) at the Sheffield show.
