About

Glasgow Streetsound, in partnership with Buskers of Glasgow (https://linktr.ee/BuskersofGlasgow), is a live music showcase at Glasgow city centre based venue Room 2 (just off Buchanan Street), aimed at giving recognition to Glasgow’s (and further afield) talented musicians and street performers.

Join us for an evening of amazing live music for #21 with Chad Pabianek, Niamh Morris, Ciaran Whyte and Amy Louise.

CHAD PABIANEK: "Chad's relocation to Scotland hasn’t slowed down his musical journey at all. With two anticipated releases slated for 2024, Chad's artistic vision is set to unfold in new directions. His forthcoming releases include a blend of mellow folk melodies and spirited bluegrass rhythms. The former collection draws from Chad's earlier works, including the 2014 album, The Arms that Surround Us, and 2017's, 'Yester-Days-Future', offering listeners a nostalgic yet refreshed experience with five re-recorded and updated tracks. Meanwhile, the latter EP showcases Chad's evolution as an artist, featuring lively instrumental compositions that have remnants of early bluegrass music, with a modern edge to it. Chad's music is a testament to his diverse influences and creative versatility."

NIAMH MORRIS: "An 18 year-old Glasgow based singer-songwriter. Her debut single, ‘Beautiful Lies’, was released in March 2023 on the same night she played a sold-out show in Glasgow to launch the single after a string of radio appearances across the country. She then went on a UK tour to launch her second single, ‘Friendzone Problems’, which included shows at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, Bannerman's in Edinburgh and Broadcast in Glasgow. Niamh’s quirky, captivating, yet witty pop songs started to garner a lot of attention and to celebrate her third single release, ‘Rendezvous’, Niamh headlined King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, as well as embarking on a Scottish HMV Tour. At the start of 2024, Niamh was offered a slot at the King Tut's New Year's Revolution Festival. She released her fourth single on the same day as playing the festival. All her singles are available on all streaming platforms."

CIARAN WHYTE: "Ciaran plays music professionally and writes music recreationally. He made his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 with his Scottish comedic music show, Scotland Has It All, which was very well received, packing the room out every day. It was only a 15 capacity room, but let's not dwell on that. His music is a mixture of Scottish comedic music, inspired by the great Glasgow songwriters such as Billy Connolly and Matt McGinn, and more grounded modern folk music, inspired by the likes of Skipinnish and Skerryvore. There’s something for everyone, as long as everyone likes a fun, folky vibe."

AMY LOUISE: "A 19 year old singer/songwriter from South Lanarkshire  She released her debut EP, ‘Picture on the Wall’, last year and following on from that, has performed many gigs all around Scotland. She recently released her new upbeat pop single, ‘Best Friend’, which is available on all streaming platforms."
