About

SBD presents:

ROSALIE CUNNINGHAM

Friday November 15th

‘Rosalie Cunningham is a rock star … she exudes an effortless charisma and quiet confidence.   The music she makes is meticulously but lovingly designed to blow minds.’ – METAL HAMMER

Multi award-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rosalie Cunningham (ex-Purson) released her self titled début album in 2019 through Esoteric Antenna, earning a Top 10 placing in the UK’s official independent chart and attracting fantastic reviews and stellar ratings from Classic Rock, Uncut, Mojo and Kerrang. Rosalie built on her burgeoning reputation as an original and thought-provoking songwriter and musician with the release of her second solo album ‘Two Piece Puzzle’ to universal acclaim in 2022.   The Times – 4/5 ‘fantastic’; Powerplay – 10/10 ‘a heady mix … all infused with Rosalie’s unique ability to entertain and enthral the listener’; Shindig – 5/5 ‘sexy, loud and bursting with ideas’; Uncut – 8/10 ‘dazzling’.

During 2022 and 2023, an extensive and punishing touring schedule taking in venues and festivals throughout the UK and Europe gave audiences the opportunity to experience Rosalie’s compelling, captivating and charismatic live performance at first hand. These, together with the acclamation afforded to ‘Two Piece Puzzle’, culminated in her being named Female Vocalist of the Year in January 2023 by the readers of PROG magazine. The amazing reaction to these exhilarating and dynamic live performances led to one of the more intimate shows on her September 2023 UK tour being recorded – ‘Live at Acapela’ was released as a CD by Machine Elf Records in December 2023.

2024 commenced with a hugely successful appearance at Fusion Festival in the UK, followed in April by a 17-date tour of Scandinavia and Europe taking in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium.   Rosalie returned to Sweden in June appearing at Muskelrock.

When her hectic touring schedule has allowed, Rosalie has readied her third solo studio album, ‘To Shoot Another Day’, out this November in time for the tour. The first tracks released from ‘To Shoot Another Day’ were ‘Return of The Ellington’ and ‘Home’ – available as a limited edition 7” vinyl single and via all the usual streaming platforms.

Rosalie will be appearing at the famed Rockpalast in Germany in October, to be followed in late November and throughout December by the most extensive tour she has yet undertaken as a solo artist. This will take in dates in France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

‘If Kate Bush and The Beatles had a baby it would be Rosalie Cunningham.’ – CLASSIC ROCK

and

LOOKING GLASS ALICE

Looking Glass Alice present a vibrant Euphoric rave set, crafting acid-drenched, break-laden adventures and colliding together the two Summers of Love. The four-piece showers barbed hooks and beats in a warped portrait of youthful dissonance.

"Informed by multiple waves of psychedelia – the beatific glow of ’67 is merged with some distinctly 90s aspects, recalling that post-baggy swathe of trip hop" - Clash
