York's finest purveyors of jangling indie joy, Bull, are taking to the stage at Cov's DIY Cathedral (LTB Showrooms) for Underbelly's mid-autumn offering. Supported by Rowan and Friends and Fern.
Bull
Over the past few years Bull have cemented themselves as a mainstay of the British alternative scene and one of the best live bands on the circuit. With a reputation for fun, melodic, slacker rock perfectly suited to the stages of indie venues up and down the country they have headlined.
In the past few years they've released an album with major label EMI, supported Pavement, playedLeedsand Reading, and toured with Sports Team, Bodega, Feet, Personal Trainer to name a few.
This year Bull released their well-received second album, Engines of Honey. In developing the 12-track album they worked with slacker legends Pavement's live sound engineer and producer Remko Schouten.
Expect them to bring the house down at LTB Showrooms with their genre-bending sound that swings between folk, pop, slacker-rock to punk.
Rowan and Friends
Rowan Evans is a Coventry native who has decamped and quickly become a fixture of the York alt scene, those who have listened to his recent releases or seen him live will be familiar with his ability to flit between styles and genres at some turns evoking the likes of Neutral Milk Hotel and Daniel Johnson and at others The Magnetic Fields, Parquet Courts and Silver Jews.
Fern
Fern are an upcoming 2-piece band, based in the West Midlands, UK. Bringing a dreamy take on Indie-Folk, they are inspired by the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Adrienne Lenker, Elliot Smith, and Ezra Glatt.
