The Indie Night is a brand dedicated to showcasing some of the best up and coming, and unsigned bands the UK has to offer.
We are bringing our successful night to the Steel City for a Christmas Special, showcasing three huge bands at one of Sheffields best live music venues, Sidney + Matilda.
As this is out first (of many) Sheffield shows we've pulled out all the stops to bring you three huge bands for ONLY £10 a ticket.
1.Marples (Sheffield) - Marples are an exciting, young upcoming band from Sheffield. Putting together their skill sets, Marples came together in September 2021. The band is made up of four members: Joseph Neville (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Thomas Martin (backing vocals and lead guitar), Joe Kneale (bass) and Luke Fieldsend (backing vocals and drums).
2. The Ansells (Birmingham) - The Ansells are a three-piece indie outfit from Birmingham. They consist of Lloyd Ballard (guitars and vocals), Paddy Garrigan (bass), and Ollie Gallagher (drums). Their debut single "Have You Got Time" has caught many an eye with numerous critics voting it their track of the day.
3. All The Young (Stoke on Trent) - Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, UK, All the Young embodies the classic rock 'n' roll story of overnight stardom turned into the plight of the forgotten sons. Unlike many, however, they are still here to tell their tale! Formed by brothers Ryan and Jack Dooley in 2009, the band was signed to Warner Bros Records in 2011 and quickly hit the UK charts with their debut album, "Welcome Home." This album was recorded with rock legend Garth Richardson, known for his work with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, and Biffy Clyro. They toured the world, supporting major acts such as Morrissey, The Kaiser Chiefs, Hard-Fi, and The Pigeon Detectives, even taking The 1975 out as THEIR support act on one tour. However, a hefty record deal often brings its own challenges, and All the Young learned this the hard way. After a few years spent on side projects, such as Ryan’s “Faraday,” and gaining a wealth of life experience, the band returned to its roots and focused on making music as ATY again. Now with a new lineup led by Ryan, along with ex-Faraday members Arron Darlington and Mike Davies, and the addition of Tom Crompton on lead guitar, All the Young is revitalized. They released their second album, "Tales of Grandeur," in 2022, much to the delight of their loyal fanbase, and have since played sold-out shows across the UK and Europe. War-torn and wiser, All the Young are ready to keep building their repertoire. We are all the young!
The Indie Night is absolutely committed to supporting charities and will be donating money raised by this show to CVOC - Supporting Child Victim of Crime.
