WE HAD A GREAT DAY, THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS THE DJ TENT. ESPECIALLY THE LAST FEW HOURS AS WE WERE EXPECTING A DJ FROM THE PINK TOOTHBRUSH WHO DIDNT APPEAR, SO WE HAD A BRUSH FEST WITH NO BRUSH MUSIC FROM ANY OF THE DJS. LIVE MUSIC THAT WE SAW WAS GOOD, THE DORITO MARIATCHIS WERE FABULOUS.

Review of Brushfest 2017

Very nice little Festival. Well organised, friendly security. Great acts. Reasonable prices for booze.

Good festival although it would have been good to know the bands line-up times.  Unsure of the names of some of the bands.

Such a shame the way Brushfest was advertised on the internet. very CONFUSING WEBSITE as it looked like all the tickets were sold out, whereas in actual fact it was only the Early bird tickets that were sold out. My sister was going to purchase a ticket at the gate but after looking at the site thought they were all sold out. It was only because we had already purchased ours via the internet that we encouraged her to go to the gate at 11 a.m to see if she could purchase a ticket. This was another issue as one of the men on the gate tried to charge her £40 for the ticket!!! She stood her ground and said on the website they were advertised at £19.50. He eventually charged her £20.00!!! If that certain person did that for several people he would have made a tidy profit for himself!!
We went along as a family because they said on the website that it was family friendly, there was only one bouncy castle obstacle course. So we ended up going off site to get an activity pack for the children. There could have been craft stalls for the children, (very cheap to put on, and very effective for children). 
Such a disappointment as it could have been so much better, if thought had been put in to design of the website selling the tickets and you had  go t honest people on the gate!!
The music was very good, and the food stalls were good. The drinks were good value for money, toilet facilities were acceptable.

What a fantastic day! Loved the relaxed atmosphere (helped by the weather!), and the ease of moving around between the marquees / acts. Lots of food and drink choices at reasonable prices. Took my children who enjoyed it, lots to keep them occupied! I live over two hours away from this venue, it was well worth the drive. Had a sore throat the day after, probably attributed to singing along at the top of my voice for most of the day!! Can't recommend highly enough, a great day out for all ages. 

The music line-up was not as good as last year and this showed in the lack of attendees.  The last band on, which you would assume were the headliners, were mediocre.
Last year there were stalls selling other goods as well as the food ones.  Not this year.  :(
The vegetarian Mexican food stand we wanted to purchase supper from packed up and left before we went to buy our food!  :(

Hi my son and travelled over 400 miles for this event (Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland) and it was well worth the trip. The people of Essex where fantastic, the music great and not overpriced, with fantastic parking. I do hope you hold the event next year as we will most definitely be back. The only issue we found was that the area lacks camping facilities and information on camping sites near the area would be really helpful. Andy Gallagher, Roman Jugg and the rest of the band where brilliant. Thanks for a great weekend. 


Such a great day and evening. The Mexican and Reggee artists were brilliant as were all the earlier bands. Totally recommend!

The festival itself was really well organised but was poorly attended which affected the atmosphere a bit and the end of the festival headlining acts there were very few people left watching them which was a shame . I think the fact it clashed with reading was a mistake as most brush goers would prob be at that instead , had it been on a different weekend it would have helped . The stalls for food and drink were great and the atmosphere was nice and friendly . Loved the fact they had laid on bench seating 

Brushfest was even better second year. Music was very good. Stages/tents laid out so music from each didn't clash   For younger visitors big inflatable and jump bar along with face painting. Plenty of places to get food and drinks at fairly reasonable prices. Benches and hay bales if not want to stand.   Blessed with glorious weather too as added bonus. Brilliant day. Maybe could look at having camping for people who travel a long way?
