Any ages are welcome at the festival however there is an age policy.

Age Policy

a. No under 16’s are allowed onsite unaccompanied.
b. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an over 18.

• Ferry – Wemyss Bay Ferry -Turn right off the ferry past Rothesay town and Port Banatyne and follow the road until you see a sign for the festival then turn left and we are at the end of that road. You can’t miss us. Colintraive Ferry – Turn left off the ferry and follow the road until you come to a sign for Ettrick bay on the right ( also our signage!) then follow the road and you will run straight into us!

• Bus – If you are on foot there is the normal bus that runs to Ettrick Bay or you can get the ButeFest specific Bus that runs Friday , Saturday and Sunday from the square on the hour and has stops/ pick ups at the pavillion and Port Banatyne ( TBC). It is worth noting for those not camping that the last bus back to the town from the festival is 12:30am so dont miss it !!!

• Taxi – There are a number of great taxi companies as you get off the main ferry, hop in one and its a short ride to the festival !

BY CAR

The ferry terminal at Wemyss Bay is only 40 mins from Glasgow.

BY TRAIN

With regular trains from Glasgow Central Station straight to the ferry terminal at Wemyss Bay. The train ticket can be bought in conjunction with the ferry ticket. Train Timetables are included with the ferry times available at the link below

BY PLANE

For those venturing from further afield, and boy will it be worth it, the ferry terminal is only 40 mins from both Prestwick and Glasgow Airports. Again there are regular bus and train services to the ferry at Wemyss Bay

ARE YOU HEADING FROM ARGYLL AND LOCH LOMOND DIRECTION?

Use the short crossing from Colintraive to Rhubodach. It takes 5 minutes and ButeFest is only a 10 minute drive away.

There is a car park available (camping parking and day parking are different areas ) . You cannot park your car next to your tent.

There’s is an RV area, a general camping area , a quieter family section and a crew area

A reasonable amount of alcohol is allowed at the campsite, but please remember this is a family friendly festival so outrageous behaviour will not be accepted ( 745 beers , a bottle of gin and tequilla shots is not reasonable! )

A free carer ticket will be given for each disabled ticket purchased, providing valid documentation is presented. Requests need to be sent directly to the festival. Please head here for ButeFest contact details.

Free Weekend Ticket for Under 5s

Adult Day Ticket  are from £60.00 +bf

Youth Day Ticket (13-17yrs)  are from £25.00 +bf

Child Day Ticket (12 and under)  Are from £10.00 +bf

Family Day Ticket (2 Adults,2 Youth(13-17),2 Children(12-5) are from £145.00 +bf

Free Day Ticket under 5 

Unfortunately we can’t issue you with a refund if you can’t make the event due to work commitments or your mates have dropped out. In these circumstances, we advise passing on your tickets privately to avoid losing out on the money spent.

Refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled or postponed, as agreed upon purchase.
