Review of Dimensions Festival 2019

Dimensions festival is for all intents and purposes a festival for the heads.

Firstly the lineup is an accurate snapshot of DJs and producers who diligently work to create an inspiring and individual atmosphere and soundscape. Some of these artists receive less recognition than you would think in their usual circles but in Fort Punta Christo its all about the music.

The second key reason Dimensions festival stands head and shoulders above so many other music festivals is the crowd. Passion and highly selective music taste can lead to an air of elitism but I encountered this maybe once the entire weekend. People go to this festival to share their love of music and I came back feeling thoroughly enlightened with my faith in humanity somewhat restored.

My only criticism of this vibrant and exciting festival is the organisation on the ground. Understandably it takes a goliathan effort to co-ordinate so many staff and musicians but I missed 2 or 3 performances I had been looking forward to for months only because the bouncers on the gate had been given incorrect information about what certain passes and wristbands entitled people to see.

In conclusion, go to Dimensions then go and explore Croatia which is truly one of the most beautiful places in Europe. You will not regret it
