As Tramlines is a metropolitan event, we strongly recommend using the brilliant public transport system. Please see the below advice on how to get to the event using public transport.
Train
For those outside the city, Sheffield is easily accessible from across the country by train. It has regular trains running around the region and considerably further afield.
From here you have a multitude of options…
Walking
If you are lucky enough to live close enough to Hillsborough Park, leave the car, save your cash and get to us on foot. The above postcodes will take you close enough to the festival, it’s easy to find from there.
Cycle
Please use the Penistone Road postcode to get to us if you’re coming by bike as we have bicycle storage at this entrance. The postcode will take you close enough to the festivals, it’s easy to find from there.
Taxi
Although there will be a black cab pick-up spot operating from the Hillsborough Leisure Centre Car Park, we encourage the use of public transport to reduce the event’s environmental impact, but also to help you get home more quickly as there could be congestion on the surrounding roads. The Taxi pick-up area will be sign-posted from the main site.

Car
Tramlines is a metropolitan festival and we want to try to reduce the environmental impact of the event. We encourage visitors to use public transport and not travel by car where possible.
If this is not possible please note the following:
You can purchase an official car parking ticket via the car parking page here.
There is no specific pick-up and drop off area for the event
All surrounding residential roads will not permit parking. If you park here you are subject to fine or towing.
There are also no free places to park your car within one mile of the event proximity
If you look to park close to the event you are likely to get caught in post-event traffic and delayed heavily by those leaving on foot and public transport.
Please remember you don’t have to rush home – To avoid congestion we’re extending festival-closing times so you can stay within the festival site until 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday while on Sunday you can stay till 9.30pm, the bars and food stalls will still be serving till this time!
