From 2022:
An all ages event marks the beginning of the long Jubilee bank holiday weekend. With three stages of live acts and DJs, a ‘Mini mad’ kids and family area and plenty of great street food and bars to make this BIG DAY OFF a celebration.
Headlining are the legendary Madness who play an exclusive full-length set – their only London summer show.
At the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 the band performed ‘Our House’ on top of Buckingham Palace, this time they will be turning Brockwell Park into a big ‘House Of Fun’.
With 31 chart hits under their belts Madness are one of the UK’s favourite bands – the quintessentially North London six will be coming down South armed with pop ammo like Baggy Trousers, My Girl, Lovestruck, Embarrassment, Wings of a Dove and their covers of It Must Be Love and One Step Beyond. This summer also marks 30 years ago since the band reformed at their 1992 event Madstock. Jubillees, anniversaries – time to raise a drink for a big Day On The Town.
