It’s taken a little while to put together, lockdown scuppered many an event but with the Diamond Jubilee long weekend looming, the timing is now just about perfect.
Revenge Of the Soul Boy Events, the official promotions arm of veteran DJ/promoter Bob Masters, who has been responsible and behind some of the most iconic soul music events on the calendar including The Ibiza Soul Week and The Bournemouth Soul Weekender. Bob has now assembled a stellar line-up of some of the finest DJs in the country to stimulate and excite a discerning audience of sophisticated music lovers. With Trevor Nelson, Dave Lee ZR, DJ Spen, Norman Jay, Michael Gray, CJ Mackintosh, Ricky Morrison and Brandon Block serving up the musical main courses while Ronnie Herel, The Dixon Brothers, Terry Jones and Gordon Mac amongst those on sous chef duties. There is a host of fabulous DJs on starters and desserts including Bob Masters, Abi Clarke, Femi Fem, Paul Murphy, Rocky, Roy The Roach, Kenneth Bager, Fitzroy Soul Survivor……you get the picture.
Just Bees & Things & Flowers, a lyric from the great Roy Ayers’ “Everybody Loves The Sunshine”, will be a one-day garden party like no other starting at 12 midday and running through until midnight, full of the things we love; fine music, good food and extraordinary music crammed into one hell of a day of celebrations and above all fun.
The location is a purpose-built facility just north of London in St Albans in the leafy county of Hertfordshire. With five stand-alone bars as well as a Champagne bar for those among you with the desire for a little bit more.
The event is scheduled for the 2nd day of the Diamond Jubilee weekend and of course HM The Queen has been invited and we have laid on a special VIP area should she accept the invitation.
“I’ve always loved the perfect 3-way marriage between clubbers, DJ’s & Promoters, one doesn’t really work without the others. Together we’ve all had a tough couple of years, where we, the most social creatures on the planet, have had our wings clipped, isolation does not come easy to us, physically or mentally, but now the chains are off, it’s time to let freedom reign.
Bees & Things & Flowers, set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, with an incredible line-up, gives us all the chance to reset, regroup and feel normal again as one....
This event has been two years in the making, I couldn’t be prouder, nothing can stop us now, it’s who we are, come join us.” Bob Masters – Revenge Of The Soul Boy Events
