Based in Crow Park on the banks of Derwentwater, each year the Festival inspires thousands of people to get outside and enjoy the outdoors! Step outside your comfort zone and try something new with more than 250 activities to choose from whatever your age or ability. Pick from sporting activities, taster sessions, family fun and more. Improve your climbing skills, explore underground, take to the water or enjoy all the thrill of the giant zip wire with the best view of the Festival as you head back to terra firma! Get inspiration from top athletes, experts and local heroes in the speaker programme hosted in the Theatre by the Lake. The more athletic can run, swim, cycle or combine all three in the triathlon surrounded by the most stunning scenery and challenging terrain. Races include 5-50k runs, open water swimming, short and long triathlons, a cycling sportive and events for junior athletes. So whether you’re competing or just watching, the action is guaranteed! Grab a bite to eat with a range of dining options in the Food Village - perhaps with a local ale or two!
