River Cottage Festival

Immerse yourself in all of the delights that River Cottage has to offer with a jam-packed programme of music, masterclasses and festival fun! You choose how to enjoy the festival: you can lie back and relax in the beautiful surroundings of River Cottage HQ while enjoying some delectable culinary delights or get stuck in and take advantage of all the activities on offer – either is fine by us! For those who fancy building up an appetite, you could start the day with an activity - perhaps a yoga class or a foraging tour. The children will be spoilt for choice with activities including circus skills, musical instrument-making, bushcraft and pottery workshops to keep them entertained. While they’re having fun, take the time to laze in our wildflower meadow with a backdrop of rolling Devon hills enjoying a cider or even a cocktail or two.

As you would expect there’ll be food a-plenty. We will be joined by a host of well-known chef’s who’ll be giving cooking demonstrations. You can choose from a fantastic selection of cookery master classes and the River Cottage chefs will be cooking up delicious seasonal food for you to enjoy, either as a sit-down meal in the famous farmhouse or a wood-fired pizza to have on the go. And, there will be some of the best street food stalls around as well as plenty of tasty treats for you to take home.

Of course it wouldn’t be a festival without live music. The soundtrack to the weekend includes mellow acoustic artists to help you chill out and soak up the magical River Cottage atmosphere and some lively foot-stomping bands to really get the party started once the sun sets (make sure you buy Gig Night tickets). Finally, as the day comes to end you can stroll across the fields in the moonlight to the campsite where you can choose to stay in either your own tent or why not book a gorgeous Honeybell’s tent for a little bit of luxury?

The Festival will be taking place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th August 2017, and under 16’s can come for free.

This will surely be the best way to spend your bank holiday weekend.
